Objective:
Design pattern prescribes a proven solution from experienced hands for a recurring design problem. Apart from describing the problem and prescribing the solution, the pattern will also explain the implementation issues involved and consequences, if any, of using the pattern. These solutions are generic in nature. Design Patterns are a way of bringing clarity to a system architecture and they allow for the possibility of better systems being built. Building a system that meets the intended business requirements, performs well, is maintainable, and is delivered on time. The use of design patterns related to J2EE applications offer the added advantage of providing solutions for J2EE platform technologies.
 

At the end of the Training:
Participants will be able to
 • Analyze the problem and identify the applicable Design Pattern.
 • Get an overview of various design patterns of Presentation Tier, Business Tier and Integration Tier.
 • Identify the applicable Design Pattern to a particular problem and design a solution.
 • Understand the typical problems the pattern help in solving.
 • Be able to articulate the usage of the all J2EE patterns.

 

Prerequisites:

All participants need to satisfy the following pre-requisites
 • Should have experience in JAVA / J2EE application development
 • Should have participated in the design of a project or a module or at least a complete user flow as a team member if not a lead.
 • Good knowledge of various J2EE packages and layered approach to design
 • UML notation knowledge, specifically for sequence diagrams and class diagrams is a nice to have.
 

Faculty: G T Anilkumar
GT has more than twelve years of experience in the IT industry. GT has a Bachelor degree in Engineering from R.V.C.E Bangalore and a Master’s degree from Arizona State University, Phoenix, USA.
 

As a Technology Architect, GT has successfully led design, development and maintenance teams of large-scale multi-tier web-based projects for various multinational clients from domains such as Financial Services, Entertainment & Communications, Energy and Travel industry.
 

GT has been working as a Design and Architecture Consultant and as a Technology Trainer. He works with product and service organizations, to provide technology training on various subjects that enhance the skills of software professionals. He also does technology consulting / management and helps his client in technology architecture design / reviews and mentors tech teams with the implementation of chosen architecture stack. He derives all his courses from his rich experience in project delivery and from his consulting work. He has worked with large globally distributed teams to deliver projects worth millions of dollars.
