Writing use cases
as a means of capturing the behavioral requirements of the software
systems and business processes is a practice quickly gaining
popularity. The Use Case Points Estimation Method is useful and one
of the popular estimation methodologies for estimating software size
, and thereby helps in deriving effort and duration on software
development projects. The methodology is based on appropriately
specifying and counting use case transactions. This workshop
provides user, the training on writing Use Cases and Use Case
Estimation Points Methodology for software size estimation.
Similar in concept
to function points, use case points measure the size of a software
application. Knowing approximate size of an application in the form
of use case points and project teams rate (Use Case Points per
hour), one can derive effort and expected duration for the project.
